Waiting for Change

Limbs laid bare
like frozen fingers
suspended in time

Huddled together
yearning to move
waiting for change

Spring’s warm breeze
awaken buried desires
as shadows recede

Poetry is many things, especially to write a poem is an extension of feelings and of our view of the world around us. If I was to "skip" winter, glorious is the idea of a continuous new beginning with the brilliant anticipation of summer. Fall? Everyone loves fall. Colorful, warm but cool, the smell of apple crisp in the oven, and moments of reprieve are ours for the taking. But winter, lets “skip winter,” you, Chris, say it best, they are your words.
